Shri Govind Damodar Stotram

, Who by His lotus-hands, is putting His lotus-feet in His lotus-mouth, Who sleeps on Banyan leaf that infant Mukunda my mind remembers

Shri Krishna govinda  jihve pibasvamritam etad eva govinda damodara madhaveti “Shri Krishna! Govinda! Sakheti!”
O tongue, please drink only this nectar–”Govinda, Damodara, Madhava!

Though desiring to sell milk, dahi, butter, etc., the mind of a young gopi was so absorbed in the lotus feet of Krishna that instead of calling out “Milk for sale,” she bewilderedly said, “Govinda!”, Damodara!”, and “Madhava!”

In house after house, groups of cowherd ladies gather on various occasions, and together they always chant the transcendental names of Krishna–”Govinda, Damodara, and Madhava.”

Even the ordinary mortals comfortably seated at home who chant the names of Vishnu, “Govinda, Damodara,” and “Madhava,” certainly attain (at least) the liberation of having a form similar to that of the Lord.

O my tongue, just always worship these beautiful, enchanting names of Krishna, “Govinda, Damodara,” and “Madhava,” which destroy all the obstacles of the devotees.

This indeed is the essence (found) upon ceasing the affairs of mundane happiness. And this too is to be sung after the cessation of all sufferings. This alone is to be chanted at the time of death of one’s material body–”Govinda, Damodara, Madhava

O tongue, drink only this nectar (of the names), “Shri Krishna, dearmost of Shrimati Radharani, Lord of Gokula, Gopala, Lord of Govardhana, Vishnu, Govinda, Damodara,” and “Madhava.”

O my tongue, I ask only this of you, that at my meeting the bearer of the sceptre of chastisement (Yamaraja), you will utter this sweet phrase with great devotion: “Govinda, Damodara, Madhava!”

“Shrinatha, Lord of the universe, form of the universe, beautiful son of Devaki, O enemy of the demons, Govinda, Damodara, Madhava!” O my tongue, just drink this nectar.

Lyrics : Kabhi aana tu meri gali

Kya karegi tu ghar se nikal ke
Jaayegi tu kahaaan
Kya dekhegi tu taj mahal ko
Main na hu jo wahan

Kya nazar aur kya nazare
Kuch nahin inme baat
Kya jannat aur kya ye tirath
Kuch nahin tere kaam

Nagri nagri kya dhoondegi
Main nahin jo tere saath

Kabhi aana tu meri gully
Tujhe palkho pe rakhunga ji
Baat dil ki kahu
Aur dil se hi sunu
Jab jee chahe to aa jaana ji

Lyrics Yashomati Nandan

(i)
yaśomatī-nandana, braja-baro-nāgar,
gokula-rañjana kānha
gopī-parāṇa-dhana, madana-manohara,
kāliya-damana-vidhāna
Lord Krsna is the beloved son of mother Yasoda; the transcendental lover in the land of Vraja; the delight of Gokula; Kana [a nickname of Krsna]; the wealth of the lives of the gopis. He steals the mind of even Cupid and punishes the Kaliya serpent.

(2)
amala harinām amiya-vilāsā
vipina-purandara, navīna nāgara-bora,
baḿśī-badana suvāsā
These pure, holy names of Lord Hari are full of sweet, nectarean pastimes. Krishna is the Lord of the
twelve forests of Vraja, He is ever-youthful and is the best of lovers. He is always playing on a flute, and He is an excellent dresser.

(3)
braja-jana-pālana, asura-kula-nāśana
nanda-godhana-rākhowālā
govinda mādhava, navanīta-taskara,
sundara nanda-gopālā
Krishna is the protector of the inhabitants of Vraja; the destroyer of various demoniac dynasties; the keeper and tender of Nanda Maharaja’s cows; the giver of pleasure to the cows, land, and spiritual senses; the husband of the goddess of fortune; the butter thief; and the beautiful cowherd boy of Nanda Maharaja.

(4)
yāmuna-taṭa-cara, gopī-basana-hara,
rāsa-rasika, kṛpāmoya
śrī-rādhā-vallabha, bṛndābana-naṭabara,
bhakativinod-āśraya
Krishna wanders along the banks of the River Yamuna. He stole the garments of the young damsels of Vraja who were bathing there. He delights in the mellows of the rasa dance; He is very merciful; the lover and beloved of Srimati Radharani; the great dancer of Vrindavana; and the shelter and only refuge of Thakura Bhaktivinoda.
