Show/ Hide file extensions

Sometimes its very irritating to see the extension along with each file like .doc, . xls etc , also if you try changing the name of the file you have to end it with that extension otherwise files may become unusable.

To overcome this problem go to My computer>Tools>Folder Options> >View tab> Select "Hide Extension for Known File types".
